and QO-100
Hi dear radio friends! A little news about the Bouvetøya DX expedition 3YØK for next year in February 2026.
Today 22.02.2025 I was lucky enough to meet the Norwegian Team lead Ken LA7GIA at the regular conference "Norwegian Ham Meeting" in Oslo, where he held a meeting with a lecture about the plan for the DX-expedition. I had a nice conversation with him at the end. So I asked if there will be activation via QO-100 and he confirmed that the answer is YES!
I asked further what he thinks about the way they will organize the activation, 
first they will start with HF radio activity. Then that after that they will have active via QO-100. And possibly this will be installed at a dining/living tent. They will try to be operational what they can, but that HF active is the primary. And possibly it will be mostly SSB communication on QO-100. He further confirmed that Wolfgang HB9RYZ will be the one responsible for the satellite active one. Ken is a very nice person but communicating via satellite is not something he has much experience with so he listens to me with my experiences and thanks for the input. So now I look forward to a very big exciting year ahead. And hope they will succeed in everything. I wish them luck! :)
